Winners are selected and recognized annually at Blue Jeans and Blazers.

The Volunteer Award of the Year Award recognizes one of our community’s outstanding volunteers and his/her contributions over the last 12 months. Anyone who provides volunteer services to the broader Bennington Community (i.e. with Bennington families, schools, sports, arts, churches, government, etc.) is eligible for the award.
lifetime
achievement
The Lifetime Achievement Award recognizes someone who has been a leader in the betterment of the broader Bennington Community during his/her adult life. Anyone who has provided volunteer services to the broader Bennington Community over an extended period of time (i.e. with Bennington families, schools, sports, arts, churches, government, etc.) is eligible for the award.
legacy

The Legacy Award recognizes someone who was a leader in the betterment of the broader Bennington Community over his/her lifetime. Anyone who provided volunteer services to the broader Bennington Community (i.e. with Bennington families, schools, sports, arts, churches, government, etc.) is eligible for the award. The award is presented to the family of the Legacy Award recipient.
Award Qualifications & Terms
· Award nominees do not need to be a resident of the City of Bennington
· Nominations can be submitted by anyone in the broader Bennington community
· Organizations can only submit one application per year
· Applications will be judged by a panel of Bennington Community Foundation board members
· Multiple nominees could be selected to win the award(s)
· Award winners are not eligible to be nominated again for five years
